The current consumers of the Smartphone market are demanding for large screen phablet and they are limited to 5.5-inchces of the Galaxy Note 2 device. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a superb device that straddles between high-tech Smartphone and portable tablet. But Samsung has decided to launch a new entry in big screen category phablet called “Samsung Galaxy Mega”. There are two version of Galaxy Mega, which based on its screen-size as 5.8-inches and 6.3-inches.
Display Factors: Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 has screen size of 6.3-inch TFT display with resolution of 720×1280 px and have pixel density of 223 ppi, while Galaxy Note 2 has screen size of 5.5-inch Super AMOLED with same resolution and have more pixel density i.e. 267 ppi.
Processor Factor: Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 powered by Dual core Exynos 5250 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with 1.5 GB of RAM, whereas Galaxy Note 2 powered by Quad Core Cortex A9 CPU and Mali 400MP GPU clocked at 1.6GHz with 2GB of RAM.
Weight and Form Factor: The Form factor of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4mm and weight is 183g as compared to Form factor of Galaxy Mega 6.3 is 67.6 x 88 x 8mm and weight is 199g.
Camera Factor: There is no need to compare both handsets in Camera factor because both of the devices have featured with 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED Flash, Geo-tagging, Face and Smile detection. Both devices have 1.9-megapixel Front camera.
Battery Factor: The new phablet has battery power of 3,200 mAh whereas Galaxy Note 2 packed with battery power of 3,100 mAh.
